Description
The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia is a monumental church devoted to the Holy Family: Jesus, Mary and Joseph. The Nativity façade (pictured left) was the first façade to be completed. Dedicated to the birth of Jesus, it is decorated with scenes reminiscent of elements of life. The façade faces the rising sun to the northeast, a symbol for the birth of Christ.
Beautiful Antoni Gaudí's multicolored mosaic salamander (pictured right), popularly known as "el drac" (the dragon), at the main entrance of Park Guell.
